OK - it doesn't matter whether you "like" homeschoolers or "dislike" homeschoolers - either way - you should WANT to sign this. And if you don't give a rat's patootie either way - well, just PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION at the request of a fellow DU'er. :)

If you want to sign the on-line petition to protect homeschoolers from being defined by the Federal government do it soon, it will be sent to Senate & House conferees later this week.

The petition is against the language of section 522 in federal bill hr1815. The NHELD bulletin http://www.nheld.com/articles.htm#mostrecent explains further.

HSLDA has been working on this legislation for 7 years now ,and it was slipped into the military appropriations bill while everyone was dealing with their reintroduction of HONDA legislation. They didn't even tell their members or notice this bill on their website.

FYI - HSLDA is one of those rwfundienutjob hs organizations just full of the freep types - you should want to thwart them just to p*ss them off - if for no other reason! :rofl:

1. Doesn't work

I tried three times to sign the petition and got no where except to a page saying "page can not be displayed". I wrote an e-mail to the petition administrator so.............
