4. Thanks oasis. Your comment is an oasis ... |

Glad you like it. I toyed with other ideas, but settled on that one. I have a feeling we're going to get to do some others.
I want to do a SPY v. SPY homage to Mad magazine at some point, since it was influence.

6. Me, too. My first real insight into politics came from MAD. |
|
Which I started reading about age 12. I still remember one of Martin's cartoons about uberpatriots who "love America, but hate 3/4 of the people in it."

Have the black spy looking around the corner at the white spy, who is looking around the corner at the black spy. Each of them are radioing in their surveillance, that each is illegally spying on private citizens. You could even have them share a cell when they're both locked up for carrying out their domestic spying orders. Still reporting on each other, naturally.
A nation of snitches.

The problem is the copyright on those dudes. I recall there being a case arising out of someone using it, maybe a band?
I'm sure parody is an exception, but is it worth the grief?
Maybe over the holidays. I'm going to write some theme lines for 06 over the holidays. To me, part of the fun is mixing in pop culture, TV shows, movies, etc. Everyone is more interesting as a caricature. And some stuff, like making DLC founder Al From a cobra being waited on by fat cats - well, that's just special!

12. It doesn't have to use the actual spies |
|
But one guy dressed all in black and the other dressed all in white should carry the message well enough. Yeah, copyright restrictions are always a caution, but I don't think anyone, not even Disney, has the copyright to black and white. I could be wrong, though. I often am.

I'm so glad it's the big story on the TV news this AM. We had this one done within a few hours of the story breaking. I think it will be the big story, and overwhelm his lame attempts to convince the public his war is great.

15. I suspect Fitz is one they're monitoring. |
|
In the interest of national security, of course.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if they have Fitz bugged so they know what is coming.
