I wonder if Bush supports this kind of democracy
Something tells me that Bush will consider this an example of bad democracy:

Leftist candidate Morales elected president in Bolivia

By Jack Chang and Bill Faries
Knight Ridder Newspapers

COCHABAMBA, Bolivia - Peasant leader Evo Morales, who has harshly criticized U.S. policies in Latin America, won a major victory Sunday in the race for this fractured country's presidency, adding to a rising wave of leftist governments in the region.

Morales, a 46-year-old Aymara Indian who will be Bolivia's first indigenous president, has made international headlines with his bold attacks on Washington-backed policies such as free trade agreements and the eradication of coca leaf, the main ingredient in cocaine.

"This is not just about changing the government or changing the presidency, but changing our history," Morales said. "I am a candidate of those despised in Bolivian history, the candidate of the most hated and discriminated against, and I hope the vote today will end this xenophobia and discrimination."

On the campaign trail, Morales pledged to nationalize Bolivia's vast hydrocarbon reserves and legalize the growth of coca leaf. He regularly called himself a "nightmare" of the United States and allied himself closely with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Cuban leader Fidel Castro, both frequent anti-U.S. critics.

2. Bush and his ilk hate democracy in general...
He is doing all in his power to make sure decisions that effect everybody are made by an elite few.

Just look at Venezuela.
And Nigaragua. And Argentina. And Chile. And Panama. Etc.

And just look at all the non-democracies (resulting from military coup or fraudelent elections, ie Indonesia) that the US has supported during the past decades.

There's no need to wonder about this.
