So how often can we expect to see W demanding prime time
for his far right partisan speeches? He says the same old, same old.

2. Yeah, the same old, same old.
So if he demands the time, the networks must bow to him?

3. I have no problem with presidential speeches being aired on the networks
In fact I think they should feel an obligation to air such speeches since the airwaves are owned by the public.

Before cable news came to forefront it seemed like we had a presidential speech or news conference in prime time once a month.

6. I'm just going off memory

When I was young I just remember LBJ and Nixon interrupting my television viewing a lot more than Bush ever has.

Regardless these are the public airwaves, and I think when the POTUS requests time, he should get it.

12. no shit
but georgie is not ready for prime time. he has invaded prime time only a few times. and certainly not a press conference. cause if people actually watched who he decides can 'question him', they would have seen he was naked years ago.

to remember Johnson on my tv telling us how Vietnam must be won, when I knew young men that had lost their lives over there for no good reason.

Maybe not once a month, but I sure remember presidents interrupting my primtetime a lot more often than Bush does.

5. Why don't they just rerun the ones he already made?
He ain't gonna say anything different and he's never going to make anymore sense than he has already. Then he could spend more time doing what he really likes to do - playing video games and dressing up like the village people.

7. I'd bet most people just clicked on through it to some cable channel...
the nerve screwing up Sunday night viewing. It seems that the more he talks now, people listen less. It has become whining, not campaign stump speeches, obviously his staff is clueless.
