did Bush actually say "it's just a goddamn piece of paper!"? |
|
I found this quote on a site but it wasn't attributed and I can't find it again. Even for Bush it's hard to believe he said:
"Stop throwing the goddamn Constitution back in my face!...It's just a goddamn piece of paper!"
and did he say the other day: "They did welcome us, just not peacefully." ...I heard a comedian say that.

5. Capital Hill Blue's stuff always sounds like those urban legend emails |

you get - - like the Neiman Marcus cookie recipe or the Swiffer rumors.
The dead giveaway is that they read like Really Bad Novels.

Alas, it "sounds like" something the Georgeling would say, and/or anyway, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he did say it.
Actually, what I find surprising is that anyone would think it unlikely he'd say it--which, alas, is not to say that it might not indeed be rather unlikely for it to get reported if he did (thus making one have to give any such report due consideration for authenticity).
Anyone present when it was said would have good cause to think very carefully (if they wish to keep their reputations from being smeared :nuke: and/or would like to continue practicing their careers for a while longer) before making it public knowledge since the Bush Administration is notorious for it's aggressive treatment of those it doesn't like, not to mention those who've offended their sensibilities by daring to bring an embarrassing truth to light. They really do take their secrecy/privacy seriously, much more seriously for instance, than they take the privacy of mere citizens (who are just a bunch puny, powerless serfs with few rights and little freedom--soon to be slaves with no rights and no freedoms, at least, if George gets his way).

part. I'll look it up. The other... no idea. Edit: I looked up a link for the "not a peaceful welcome" http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051213/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_interviewThe article is on the interview with Brian Williams. Here's a snip from the article: Bush defended Vice President Dick Cheney's pre-war assertion that the United States would be welcomed in Iraq as liberators.
"I think we are welcomed," he said. "But it was not a peaceful welcome."

4. Strange sense of values |
|
This is the same asshole who called treasury notes "worthless IOU's".
If that's the case, then bank loans, credit cards, mortgages and company stocks should also be termed "worthless IOU's". After all, they're just pieces of paper or plastic with no intrinsic value.

and possibly with good reason, its hard to believe that bush would consider the constitution of the United States anything more than a goddammed piece of paper. I offer his actions as any evidence needed to believe such a claim.
bush and his supporters are the number one domestic enemy of the constitution of the United States and should be challenged, fought and defeated by those who are sworn to defend said document.

There are so many impeachable things that Bush has done, that there is no reason to spread the less credible stories. That source comes up with some outrageous stories that no one else has heard. It is particularly suspicious when they claim to know things that happened in private between Bush and a couple top aides or his wife.

12. he thinks it, but he probably didn't say it |

In my opinion, Capitol Hill Blue too often prints what it thinks might have happened for dramatic effect.
This story is suspicious to me for multiple reasons, including the fact that who in his little group of asskissers would throw the Constitution back in his face?

13. I'm inclined to think that he thinks it's a great document, and that he |

probably thinks it was written espressly so that 240 years later, he, George W. Bush, could use it for whatever grandiose scheme his tiny brain could get itself around.
