Pakistan to stand by Iran in case of US aggression

is your brain spinning yet?

Foreign Minister Khursheed Kasuri has said Pakistan strictly opposes any expected US attack on Iran, and will stand by Iran if this extreme step is taken by Washington.

Iranian foreign minister’s statement during his recent visit to Pakistan provides testimony to our policy towards Tehran. Pakistan aspires to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue according to the principles of the IAEA, he added.

He said Pakistan also submitted proposals in the conference to make OIC a viable organisation for resolving all the issues confronting Muslim countries.

Responding to a question on Israel, he said Pakistan would not restore diplomatic contacts with Israel till it recognises Palestine as an independent state.

1. Which means we lose our foothold for dealing with Ossama...
...when we eventually think to get around to it. Wow, is there anything Bush CAN'T fuck up?

2. Oh, great! That's what we really need--Pakistan and Iran and the Bushites
and Israel throwing nukes around the planet. Way to go, Dick & Co.!

3. I seem to remember...
..after 9/11 that Musharraf was pretty much forced into cooperating with us.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but that is what I remembered.

All of that "You're either with us or you're against us" jargon was intended to intimidate
countries into meeting all of our immediate demands. We needed Pakistan to help us with
our military activities in Afghanistan. Didn't we use Pakistani soil as a base for our
aircraft?

Musharaf was strong armed into being our friend. He did what we demanded, but he was never
a true friend of the United States. This doesn't surprise me at all.

Also----Isn't Musharaf a dictator who ousted the previous leader? Doesn't that make him a ruthless dictator? Should we just invade both Pak and Iran, then? As long as our warmongering leaders have the ball rolling...

/sarcasm off
