Well, the news is **very** in depth coverage of the plane crash that wasn't, which is all but wrapped up in Boston.

As Allison Stewart was closing Keith's show on MSNBC, word came of a passenger jet having taken off from Boston Logan and declaring an emergency.

Miss Piggy, aka Rita Von Foghorn, takes over and does breathless and mostly meaningless commentary for an hour. She plays expert as she spews one string of non-stop meaningless, platitudinous blatherings after another. It seemed to me she was hoping for flames and a somersault landing, with bodies strewn all the way to Copley Square.

The plane lands safely.

Hand off to (former judge, not FAA expert) Catherine Crier, sitting in for Regular Joe Scabrous. She continues to interview everyone who has ever flown on any plane and they prattle on for a full hour of wasted air time. Catharine at one point doing a play-by-play of a replay of the landing as if she were a FUCKING PILOT.

Hey Catherine ... where's Regular Joe tonight? Meditating with Metamucil so he can stay his regular self?

All in all, two full hours of airtime wasted with meaningless chatter and self-agrandizing palaver.

Meanwhile, NO ONE is asking about the lying of the pResident, the illegal use of our spy apparatus to keep a watch on our citizens, the talk of impeachment, the talk of the possible indictment of the pResident's chief advisor ...... and the event - just TODAY - of a judge throwing out the shit and stench that was 'Intelligent Design'.

......he was another good example of media whoring.

He spoke to a Midwest representative and several passengers who had been on the plane. He asked one of the passengers, when there was a safe landing, did people cheer or was there a sigh of relief? The guy said no. Then this guy (the interviewer) stated that it was a subdued crowd.

I guess he was disappointed by the lack of reaction from the passengers. But really, that's the pilot's job..........to make a safe landing.
