Prediction: Cheney will attempt a coup |
|
After the 2006 elections, he'll move to throw Bush to the wolves, either through impeachment or other means. Cheney wants it all, and he know he's unelectable. Watch for it.

4. Exactly. He's already done it twice--in '00 and '04. |
|
What's to stop him from doing it again? Cheney doesn't give a rat's ass about democracy, electoral politics or his own popularity. If he ascends to the presidency, even the pretense of the US as a democracy goes out the window.

10. I wonder. The facts are out..... |
|
Cheney has an unbelievably low approval rating. The last figure I saw was 19%. People don't like him. In fact, they are repulsed by the man.
And look at him. He's fat, ugly doesn't begin to describe him. He has a perpetual sneer, and we all know who he really serves, 24/7. During his latest trip to Iraq, Cheney said, "I'm not Jessica Simpson = meaning, I'm not well-liked, I'm not popular, and I'm certainly not good looking".
Cheney knows he had a 0% chance of getting elected on his own. So he used Bush as his cover.
My prediction: people will not stand for it.

That's where Bush has done much of his damage.

He's obviously overweight and out of shape, and there is that heart problem. Or is he the undead, and we're stuck with him?

Hey - Are we allowed to wish for the demise of Dick ???
What would the republican thought-police do.... what can they do?
Not wanting to instill caution... just asking... in fact we should all freely express our thoughts on how the VP might expire.... in lavish detail. :-)

It'll be done on the sly, through leaks and intimidation. Bush is drinking again, Bush is losing it, Bush is crazy--remember when those stories hit the tabloids? Where do you think they came from? How about some juicy scandal to go with it? If Bush is impeached, Cheney will be the catalyst/architect.

Not with this Congress. This isn't 1974.
If not for Bush, Cheney would still be sitting behind his big desk at Halliburton, or whatever that company was....

19. We need Cheney's resignation. then a good VP appointed..then |
|
IMPEACH B U S H. Step 1)prosecute Cheney and/or get him to resign. Step 2) Appoint a decent Vice President....Step 3) Impeach Bush and Step 4) New VP becomes Pres and appoints another decent VP.....all before the 2006 elections.

26. The fatal flaw in that scenario is..... |
|
...how could you possibly expect Chimp to appoint a "decent" Vice President. Hell, in 2000 Cheney was the guy who was supposed to find one, and he appointed himself!
You would have to have SERIOUS pressure coming from within the Republican party itself to have Junior appoint anyone who wasn't another old guard BCE/PNAC criminal. Not impossible, but highly unlikely in the current climate where even some so called "Democrats" are afraid to oppose these pieces of shit.
Now purely hyopethical, let's say that pressure did exist and Junior picked McCain as VP, Junior is then Chimpeached and McCain picks Chuck Hagel as his new VP. Good news is you now have a slightly better crew than the Bush Criminal Empire. Bad news is they just became the incumbents with an inside track to 2008. With one of them having friends in the electro-fraud voting business, no less.

|
All that needs to happen is for BushCo to run a Cheney clone in 2008. No need for a messy coup which would just call too much attention to them anyway.
Pick a like minded candidate and Swiftboat whoever the Dems run. It's worked for them before.
