My "conservative" relatives and friends would have voted
for Edwards in 2004.

Recently returning from spending 3 weeks with a "nest" of them in Florida, it became very apparent what "crossover" appeal meant. Of course, they asked me about my jregrassroots t-shirt, a simple and understated design which begs to ask the question "..wass'up with that logo?"

It did my heart good to hear that a feel good and inspiring moderate Dem "may" have won the election. Obviously, these were people fed up with Bush and fell into the unpatriotic Hanoi John trap....and just didn't vote for the "lessor of two evils".

Whether it be JRE in '08, or any other worthy Dem, I have a feeling whoever runs, will have to be moderate and likeable and SMART :)

Ok, back to the 2006 grind for me :hi:

1. After the Repo smear machine finished with Edwards, my bet is
your family and friends would have voted just as they did.

2. If you read "Four Trials".....
...there is nothing to smear, that is, if you were referring to the trial lawyer "swiftboating" attempts ?

3. Yep, trial lawyer who sues corporations (creators of jobs)
Republican noise machine will have citizens believing that Edwards is against Americans having jobs. I can just picture ads using scenes from "Grapes of Wrath" with the voice-over telling viewers that Edwards is pro-Great Depression.

7. I don't give the Average American..
... a lot of credit, but even the Average American would have a hard time falling for that.

Spin can only overcome reality for a limited time. The economy is going to become less and less spinnable as time marches forward, IMHO.

Bush** has had FIVE YEARS to get this economy in order and he has failed, failed, failed. And people know it too.
