Per the LA Times, the liberal groups at least are willing and have pledged to expand their campaign against Alito. However, Democratic senators are unlikely to enlist in this effort by the party activists to thwart the nomination.
The dems plan on trying to highlight the differences between the two parties thinking they can discourage Bush from selecting a polarizing conservative if another vacancy opens on the court.
Yeah, Right.
Another typical dem idea. I have to admit that I agree with Biden, these hearings are worthless. It appears no filibuster is being planned. It is inevitable Alito is on the court.
My only hope with our party is with those such as Congressman Ford, Barak and a few others. A lot of the others don't seem to have enough fight in them which we need with the way Bush and the neo-cons are taking this country.
How can you export democracy when you are taking it away at home?

I don't know whether to cry or scream, so I guess I'll do both.
This is frustration cubed.
