Asian Times hints that US is flat broke |
|
In their headline story today by David Isenberg and William Fisher seem to state that America can't sustain the costs of occupying Iraq alone. Monies have been diverted from reconstruction to security. http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/HA20Ak02.html

1. We are broke. We can't sustain the costs. |
|
And we need to get out of Iraq and concentrate on Afghanistan, which due to the fact that Bush tried to reach for a shiny new object has now reverted on Taliban and bin Laden's control.
George, you did a lousy job.

and who could have predicted this? :eyes:
<snip>
The authors write, "Nevertheless, strong reasons exist for believing that the most serious problems facing Iraq and its American occupiers - 'endemic violence, a shattered state, a non-functioning economy and a decimated society' - were virtually inevitable consequences that flowed from the breakage of the Iraqi state."

9. I was watching "Big Fish" with Ewen McGregor (sic?).... |
|
and there is a part in it when a character goes into the bank to rob it and Ewen is in the bank making a deposit....Ewyen then goes into the vault of the bank and there is nothing in it....and then goes on to narrate about the Savings and Loans scandal....made me do a double take as this is exactly how I view the US....and empty vault...all of your money going to the elite and Weathly...STOLEN...right outta your pockets...all for the few who have the cajones to do it while you watch with your eyes wide open....
I am scared for you USA....I can only hope that a revolution happens within!!....and if Stephen Harper becomes my Primeminster...:scared: ...I can't even imagine what the next few years may be like....
