Very discouraged, did you hear Rachel on AAR this morning?
She palyed tapes of last night's coverage of OBL on MSNBC --- Tucker, Tweetie, and Scarborough all saying that Osama is getting his talking points form the DNC, she played quote by quote accounts of them saying things like:

Kerry said we terrorize kids Osama said the same
Howard Dean said this is a costly war and its for Halliburton's profiting and Osama said the same
Tweeties saying Osama said the same thing as Michael Moore..etc.
...etc.....etc.

1. Time to complain to the advertisers about corporate media.
They're marching in lockstep now.

2. The Truth
Isn't it possible that the DNC is just speaking the truth and the only people who refuse to admit it are the Bush apologists? Screw them.

who continue to lie, including to themselves, and cause more people to die.

20. Another Alternative
For months I have been pointing out things like this and asking if these tapes were actually real. In earlier days I pointed out that for some reason when Bush would say something Bin Laden and Zarqwari would come around and then state the same thing. I was just about to post something about the newest Bin Laden tape, but I will just post it here.

Does anyone think that this new Bin Laden audio tape might be bogus. It just seems to me that Bin Laden would never offer a truce to America. It seems that this administration uses Bin Laden when they need him. Now the Bush Administration and all his supporters can say that the government needs to wire tap people's phones in order to find out what the terrorists are planning and stop them.

I am not saying that I do not believe Bin Laden and Zarqwari have done things that hurt American citizens. I think they have; however, they both seem to have great timing for the Bush Administration. They just seem to pop up whenever the Bush Administration needs to remind us that the world is dangerous. Remember this tape has supposedly been in transit since November 2004. Yes this tape was made in 2004 and only now in January 2006 made it to Al Jazerra. Talk about sail mail. That is a year and two months in transit. Does anyone else find it a bit weird that it took that long for the tape to get where it was going. Maybe I am wrong, but I do not think it takes men riding horseback that long to get that far.

someone in a big white mansion with a wrought iron fence in the heart of DC.

Rove and Cheney must burn a lot of midnight oil.

4. Osama isn't a fool.
He wants the inept, incompetant & insane GOP administration to remain in power. He's never had so much attention & so much success. Bush has given him a 160,000 sq mi terrorist training camp, has given him the ideal recruitment incentives, and has done nothing to capture him.

FOX, MSNBC, etc., is supporting fascist news, whether or not he/she watches it.

Call your cable company and demand a package which does not include right-wing news, and be willing to quit their service (writing to the company why)if they can not provide you with a fascist-free package.

As long as you subscribe to a service, it seems a bit weak writing to a company which choses to advertise on it.

I've been without cable since I quit in protest in 2001, and I haven't missed it. There are enough liberals and progressives out there plugged into the system to force a change, if they were only willing to do without their boob-tube fix long enough to implement a boycott.

12. if you have digital cable, block it on your channels list
they use the channels lists and favorites for demographics, so if you block it, it adversely impacts FOX's standing. Also, complaints about Fox's "hate news" and saying you dont want to subject your children to it have adverse impact on FOX's standing. I used to work for a major cable company, we looked at all these things when setting up channel line-ups.

do you access the blocking option? I still want my cable for Olbermann but would love to demographically impair FOX and CNN (Foxlite).

comments and the RW media's talking points all came together so neatly and quickly. Amazing, whenever the Democrats gain some ground and Bush and Co. needs a little boost,Bin Laden pops up to lend a hand and with Americanized comments that seem to parlay the Democrats criticisms of this administration.
We can only hope people can see through this set-up. Let's change the message and throw this back at them. Why aren't we asking them why they have allowed this murdering terrorist to remain free to continue to recruit other terrorists and spew his American hatred around the Middle East?

Is there a man or woman in a position to blow the whistle on this, who has the courage and the will to step forward?

Or are the "suicides" and silencing techniques just too powerful now?

Americans. That is why they take their words out of context at every opportunity.

This is a GOP operation within the media to marginalize the voices and the positions of any truthteller.

21. One Thing
One thing Democrats could do is just continually point out that this tape is from 2004 which means many of the things that Dean and Kerry have said had nothing to do with the tape. This tape was in transit before Dean and Kerry said many of the things they said.
