Fox News spinning the 2% Dow drop as "Al Qaeda & Iran fears" |
|
Right now, they're running that label on the business news.
Bullshit. This is an attempt by Fox/Bush to make the issue TERRUR instead of bad economic news. Classic case of them lying to help Bush claim it's TERRUR, not bad financial news.
Neil Cavuto doesn't know squat about business.

We're sending our good jobs away.
I have to say that in the past 10 years, too many union members have voted their emotional issues instead of their pocketbook, and it's coming back to kill their jobs.

10. Thank you! Exactly. There were reports unconnected to terror. |
|
And those caused the sell-off.
That, and oil has been on the rise again.

And the ministry of propaganda is always right there to spoonfeed the dullards of the right with their thinking points.

had concentrated on Al Qaeda instead of romping into Iraq then maybe this wouldn't even be an issue.
There is bad financial news for a variety of reasons but blaming Al Qaeda is about the lamest one yet. How can that possibly help Bush?

8. That played a big role in today's sell-off |
|
"Al Qaeda & Iran fears" had a lot to do with the big spike in crude today that weighed heavily on stocks.
Some shitty earnings came out of GE and Citigroup.
But consumer confidence was up slightly more than expected.

21. Gasoline has been steadily rising. |
|
All this tough talk with Iran will backfire, too.
They are in a position to sit on production and really drive prices up, and their oil is not going anywhere. If it sits in the ground longer, it simply appreciates in value.
I've been saying for the last 4 months. 2006 is a recession year.
