Revolutionary talk from an unexpected source:
"If electronic voting machines programmed by private Republican firms remain in our future, dissent will become pointless unless it boils over into revolution. Power-mad Republicans need to consider the result when democracy loses its legitimacy and only the rich have anything to lose."

John M. Olin Fellow at the Institute for Political Economy and Research Fellow at the Independent Institute, former associate editor of the Wall Street Journal, former contributing editor for National Review, and a former assistant secretary of the U.S. Treasury. (under Reagan)

I was unfamiliar with this guy until today, a conservative who is really down on *.

1. Isn't he a libertarian? I've seen some of his pieces... sometimes
I agree, sometimes not.

4. I think so, don't know much about him. He said Gore's speech
was the most important political speech of his lifetime (the writer's-not Gore's) and NYT did not cover out of fear of * prosecution for NSA story.

2. Roberts is often pinned on the home page; he is
not a fan AT ALL. This article is also in the greatest, but it's good here, too, for those to read that didn't. :hi:

8. Kind of figured someone else would have picked up on this
while I was at work. Particularly liked these sentences which ended the article.

7. Thanks, I found the quote above, which ended his article,
particularly unusual for a Conservative.

6. Voting Machines need to be illegal
Unless they produce a paper ballot (and a receipt) that can be placed in a sealed container. Electronic machines that take your vote and transfer it to a central counting computer are corrupt devices of an insidious, un-American regime that needs to be taken down.

I would urge ANYONE whose district is considering these machines to do everything in their power to stop their implementation. Anywhere they are already used they need to be destroyed. We have had two elections stolen by these cretins and these devices are the road to a dictatorship disguised as a government.

If revolution is necessary, so be it. Just make sure you save a piece for me.
