I'm not committed, but wouldn't Edwards be cool? |
|
I know he's rich, and I know about the "trial lawyer" stuff. But he's a "self-made man" and he made his fortune by fighting for the regular Joe and Tina. Great contrasts with *.
(I'm not endorsing Edwards, I've made similar remarks for Kerry and Dean.)

3. I remember people dismissing Clinton as an obscure governor |

from a backwater state.
But he's the one who sent Poppy back to that hotel room in Houston.
Stranger things have happened.

But there is the foreign policy perception and the "Opie" factor.
Good genetics have conspired against good Mr.Edwards in this election cycle. He is perceived as a bit young to trust in this dangerous time for the general electorate.
Also, while I admire his stance against negative campaigning, it's not preparing him well for a future fight as the nominee.

7. Edwards--'Self made man'... |
|
Yes Edwards is a self made man. I think the spark seen in him is that he got to follow the 'American Dream.' Didn't think the question about money was fair in the debate. Considering the mega money that Kerry and his family have. I just thought it was a low blow question. The 'American Dream' doesn't exist in America anymore. John Edwards worked his way through college and made it to the top. He hasn't forgotten the mill town and the way he grew up. I live in one of those towns and they don't exist anymore. John Edwards builds hope that together, we can change this country. All the children of America and all who come to it, should be able to work and achieve that 'American Dream.'

8. Edwards would be very cool |
|
And I'm not a co-ed, either. The preoccupation with Edwards is because he's a great looking guy who's oratorically dazzling. Picture this against a guy who looks like he's eaten some mad cow beef and stares at the audience like a deer in the headlights when he gives a speech. We wold walk all over him!
But as I've posted elsewhere, I'm beginning to think we could run a mossy rock against Bush and win.

9. Edwards would not be 'cool' |
|
The guy has no experience at anything. I look at the man as trying to jump up the rungs of the ladder way too fast.
Edwards could have done alot more for our party by sticking around to run for senate rather then furthering his impatient agenda!
