Tomorrow's Headline - Cindy Arrested At SOTU Address... |
|
mother of a son killed in George Bush's war was arrested as she tried to attend the SOTU address wearing a t-shirt with the number of American's killed in George Bush's war.

1. Michael Moore's website has the story up; still says banner. |
|
Can you post a link where it says she was wearing a t-shirt and not unfurling a banner? Thanks.

It would have been much, much better for the cause were she to sit (however uncomfortable and nauseating it would have been) and let him walk right past her - AGAIN - and then hit the talk show circuit tomorrow saying "Look, I'm a dead soldier's mother and I just wanted him to acknowledge what our families have sacrificed, and he ignored me/us again... "
Instead, she'll be portrayed as a 'wild-eyed radical' and 'disrespectful' ad neauseum.
The Dems just continue to harpoon themselves at every turn, don't they? Who needs KKKarl? We're sinking our own ship.
Sigh.

6. I Think It's A Big Mistake For * To Have This Arrest Go Down On.... |
|
his watch - so to speak. Has the potential to do as much damage to * as when Cindy posed the question to him "What's the noble cause. Meet with me Mr. pResident and tell me - what's the noble cause." His poll numbers went down considerably during the handling/mishandling of that.
If I were Rove - I'd make this go away real fast.

7. not a mistake at all . . . she accomlished something! . . . |
|
first of all, if she didn't completely shift the focus from the SOTU, she at least forced the media to split its focus some . . .
and second, unlike the corporate press, Cindy tried to get the truth out to the American people . . truth about the number of American casualties in Iraq (which the press is ignoring), and truth about BushCo's complete disdain for First Amendment rights (which the press is also ignoring) . . . if she doesn't do it, who will? . . . the Congress? . . . the press? . . .
we're facing national and global crises of historic proportions . . . if Cindy helped to awaken just a few more people, she accomplished a hell of a lot more than she would have sitting on her hands and politely listening to more lies from the scum who got he son killed . . .
