Apparently it is a Kerry-Dean race with no one else having a chance |
|
Do you get the feeling that when you watch the news, read the paper, browse the internet, or look at any political info that isn't the DU, that the race only has Dean and Kerry running against each other? I find it very interesting that the media continues to focus on Dean despite the fact that he doesn't hold even a second place finish in any of the upcoming states. All I hear is back and forth disses from Dean and Kerry. Maybe they could start covering candidates who will actually win some states on Feb. 3rd other then Kerry?

1. Dean is running 3rd and 4th in most polls |
|
Edwards and Clark are doing better than Dean in most states.

2. The media likes drama. |
|
So it's likely that in the next few days they're going to be easier on Dean to pump him back up like before. Then there will be a fun little "fight," etc... Read this: http://www.freepressed.com/frontrunner.htm

|
This will be Dean's last weekend in the media as anything other than a has-been after February 3.
Buh bye.

6. Because Dean is waging a guerilla-style campaign |
|
He's says he's fighting a war of attrition and will live off the land (grassroots) in the 2/3 states.
Tell me that's not more intriguing than anything the other candidates are saying or doing.
Dean won't hesitate to lay a glove where appropriate on front-runner Kerry and the media know (and love) it!
And it makes Kerry, who alone on the stage has a knack for putting us to sleep, more interesting too. How will Kerry respond to the doctor's latest thrust? Tune in!

7. You should see what he's going to do after he loses the primary! |
|
He's going underground, to start a Deanocratic insurgency. His agents are already at work, building a fiendish network of tunnels and catacombs. His Deanista rebels will come up through the toilets of American households late at night, kidnapping voting-age citizens, dragging them back to the sewers for hours of severe inDoctornation. People will wake up in public parks and waste treatment facilities, with no idea where they've been, but a strong desire to Take Back The Country.
Soon enough, the underground Deaniacs will begin to mutate, their eyes becoming nearly useless in the pitch darkness of the tunnels beneath the grassroots, will shrink away to become mere vestigial organs over a few short generations. Other senses will be heightened, they will develop exceptional ultrasonic perceptions, and use echo location to find their meals of flying insects. This will be called "going to bat for the Doctor".
And then, the race will start to get ugly.

8. Damnit, why did you have to go and tell. |
|
Just for that were going to meld your DNA with b*sh genes. Although come to think of it, you'd still make a better president...

10. But what about states where Dean is under 15% threshold? |
|
Couldn't Dean and his supporters coordinate their vote in states where they're under the 15% threshold (where applicable) and throw their votes to another non-Kerry candidate, in order to lessen Kerry's delegate gains?
I'm still of the opinion that such a move would garner media attention to the plight of the non-Kerryites.

9. All Kerry all the time |
|
> ... the race only has Dean and Kerry running against > each other? ... Maybe they could start covering candidates > who will actually win some states on Feb. 3rd other > then Kerry?
Ah, but they are. By keeping it all Kerry all the time, they insure that they're covering the candidate who's going to win on Tuesday.
Like anybody else has a freaking chance with the media blackout that's going on. J-H-C!
