The Democratic establishment will screw up the competition by throwing all of their support behind Mr. Elitist, John Kerry.
Since we all know that they want Kerry anyway, we don't need a brokered convention, because that would automatically mean that Kerry would end up with the nomination.
Who has the best shot of winning more than one state on Tuesday, other than Kerry?
I will continue to say that Edwards is going to shock the world on Tuesday.
I felt no momentum leading up to NH. I felt momentum before Iowa, and I feel it now.
After Tuesday, it is going to be Edwards v. Kerry and, like Edwards said about Bush, YOU PUT THE REAL THING NEXT TO HIM, AND PEOPLE WILL KNOW WHO THE COUNTERFEIT IS. Well, the same thing applies to Kerry.
They are trying to deliver the knockout blow to Edwards in SC because they know that if it comes down to him v. Edwards then Kerry is toast, unless the Democratic establishment steps in.
One more thing about SC. I think the Super Bowl is going to play into Edwards' favor either way. If the Panthers win tomorrow, and Edwards is going to be having a Super Bowl watch party, so if the Panthers win, that is going to create some excitement, and Edwards is a Panthers fan just like a lot of people in SC (little things like that matter. Remember in NH, everyone was asking about the Patriots, well, people are talking about the Panthers down here). If the Panthers lose, then people are going to be angry with the Patriots, Kerry's team. That may work for Edwards as well, but I know that a Panthers win is going to create a sense of "SOUTHERN ALLEGIANCE" and that is going to energize the voters for Edwards on Tuesday. It may not sound right, but little things like this can make a difference. A loss by the Panthers might suck the life out of some SC voters.
