Charlie Rangel nails it
Rep. Charles Rangel, (D-N.Y.) was asked what he thought about the President.

"Well," he said, "I really think he shatters the myth of white supremacy once and for all."

I expect that will be the funniest thing this white man will hear today.

5. He said that several months ago...
at least, I guess we did not hear much of any right-wing complaints because they know it to be true.

6. That's my Congressman!
This quote is actually a bit old...

This, from the "Quote of the Week" segment of an April 4, 2005 Washington Post article:

But there was nothing inadvertent about a quip from Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.), second-most senior member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Rangel was interviewed on New York Public Television WLIW21 last Monday night and asked for his quick reaction to various people. The first was Bush.

"Well," Rangel said. "I really think that he shatters the myth of white supremacy once and for all; it shows that, in this great country, anybody can become president."

We have a winner.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A23747-2005Apr3.html

Charlie's always good for a quote...He was on an early morning news program here in NYC last Sunday and had some great lines then too...One about the two things that Bush knows being liquor and oil...and then he adds that Bush seems to have given up the liquor part or he says he's given up the liquor part or something like that....I wish I could remember it exactly.

And, when asked if there was anything he liked about the Pres' SOTU speech, he first said the repsects he paid to Coretta Scott King were nice...Then he sat there thoughtfully and finally said, earnestly, "I'm trying to think of something he said that made sense." He's a gem....
