So Frist is Backing Away from Bush - per Novak
See Novak column for 2-11. I don't know how to get it over here.

Not that it really matters, I guess. Frist wants to make a run for the Presidency - and I just don't see him getting anywhere. He has the charisma of a pancake - a soggy noodle?

And I don't like him any better than I do Bush. At least we don't know that Bush ever killed cats - and in such a horrible dishonest way. Bush likes dogs. That's about the only thing about him that I can say that would be nice.

2. It's pretty fundamental
Unless Bush does something really horrible, like suspending the constitution, he will not be a factor in the '08 races. Further, he has no "coattails" like Reagan supposedly had, for Republican candidates to ride into office on....

Candidates are going to have to carve out their own niche; create their own idenity.

By January of 07, a year before the primaries start, Bush will be a non-entitiy.

4. I kind of feel like he is non-entity right now.
Its the funniest thing. I can get no feeling for this guy at all. I watch him and I just don't feel anything. Its like he is just a shell with nobody home.

3. And Frist didn't have the guts to comment on Coulter's "raghead" remarks
This happened just this past week. He muttered something about "not being there and best not to comment", etc.

Real profile in courage, Catman!

5. The best you can say about bill frist is that he looks a little like
that guy on the Florida orange juice commercials. Not that I'm buying or drinking Florida orange juice. I'm in California (I prefer blue-state orange juice).

But he's AWFULLY quick at making medical diagnoses by looking at a few video clips from long distance. I guess that puts him on the cutting edge of new medical technology, doesn't it? Just ask Michael Schiavo.
