I listened to the show "Ring of Fire" on AAR today. They had Ohio journalist Harvey Wasserman of Ohio on there. Granted, he's a left-leaning reporter.. but still, he did his homework when it comes to Diebold.
WOW, Ohio!! I couldn't believe the information he disclosed on the voter reform election that was held there!
I forgot the name of the newspaper he quoted (Ohio DU'ers would know). He said it had the largest circulation in the state and is owned by Republicans. He also said the paper is renowned for having one of the most accurate polling results of any paper in the nation.
He relayed the results of all of the polls taken regarding the voter reform bill. (The one that Ken Blackwell said "no way" on)
The last poll taken was only a couple of days before the vote, and it was 3 to 1 in favor of the bill. But the results from Diebold came out with completely reverse numbers after the election.
He mentioned that the paper made one slight mention of "huh, that's weird" as far as the poll coming out completely opposite of what they'd been reporting all along, and said after that one mention, neither that paper or any other media in the state has ever decided to investigate. (except for him)
Listening to him was pretty scary. Sounds to me like we'd better win Florida, because Ohio is all set for 2008.
