The NOLA Tape of Bush attending a FEMA Meeting 1 day BEFORE Katrina hit...clearly shows he was informed of the Severity of the then Cat 5 Storm.

Worse, he did NOT ASK A SINGLE QUESTION.

Either he did not understand what was being said, or,

he did NOT CARE.

The Smoking gun was there all along....FEMA had handed out copies of the taped meeting right after they were made 6 months ago.

This is why Bush had a smirk when he said "No one could have predicted the damage of this storm" or words to that effect during his excuse press meeting. He knew he was lying to us....

But the reality says otherwise. The lower he goes in the polls, the closer he gets to his base numbers that will be very difficult to break below. Also, we don't know yet what kind of coverage this latest proof of his incompetence/not caring will receive.

The only thing that makes me believe what you forecast might actually happen is that Cheney is already there, in the teens. What that tells me is that if Bush stops getting the "he's a good guy, kinda would like to have a beer with him" thinking, he could go as low in the polls as Cheney is.
