15. I am retired and living good because

I worked my regular job and then worked partime. I also made myself live below my means. My grandpa used to say "it is not how much you make but what you do with what you make".

During those years I did not drive new cars, have cable tv, big screen tv etc but those are not necessities. I raised 3 kids while doing this. I realize not everybody do this but most probably can. Again... it is not easy but it can be done....

Was it easy for me??? No way was it easy. Was it worth it?? Yes indeed it was worth it. I now have a new car, big screen tv, and cable tv and I really enjoy my retirement.

I'd like to see him juggle two jobs, three kids and bills on 7.00 an hour for 19 hours in each job and two hours a day travel time. That is what many of my friends are doing. That old asshole wouldn't be able to do it. Hell he'd probably accidentally shoot (oops, I mean "pepper") his employer his first and last day on the job!
