Marine website censor liberals, show conservatives
This appears on Daily Kos and Wonkette. Marine websites that our soldiers are using in Iraq and Afghanistan are censoring liberal websites like Air America, the Al Franken website, and the Don and Mike show, while conservative sites like G. Gordon Liddy, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh and ABC's the note aren't.
Now the Pentagon, and this administration hates liberals, and they have tried this in the past. The Pentagon doesn't want to hear what liberals are saying about their little fraud war, so they just go and censor it. Conservatives on the other hand, will kiss Bush ass, so they are allowed on websites, and the airwaves. Just one more shining example of democracy going down the drain.

1. Very democratic of the promoters of Democracy.
I do hope the irony of that little stunt isn't lost on our brave troops who have no choice in the matter.

4. Count on it. The point is more than lost.
The average Marine probly just "knows" those liberal places are disloyal and unhealthy. This is not a crew known for their deep thinking for the most part, and they aren't exactly in a subculture that supports dissent.

3. the military always tries to control information to the troops
Back in the day circa 1970, the BEST source of political thoughts not controlled by the military was Playboy. Reading it, yes, reading the war articles, helped me to understand what the hell was going on, put it in some context.

6. I remember Playboy recipes for gourmet C-Rations.
One of them involved using that lousy canned bread & the cheese spread as the basis of a little pseudo-pizza. You baked it by putting it back in the can, putting it inside the cardboard c-rat carton & setting the carton on fire. I remember trying this particular one & was surprised that it sorta worked.

5. Probably a result of that pesky poll that showed
70% of the troops are ready to end the war ? That doesn't look good for our War President...:evilfrown:

7. It's a Wing driven society
Even the book stores on bases lean right. It's the society they drive.
