Utah's $14 mil campaign secret slogan "Life Elevated"

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/7877075/detail.html

-snip-

The phrase "Life Elevated" will be used in a $14 million campaign aimed at attracting visitors to Utah.

Gov. Jon Huntsman said the words embody Utah's heart and soul and will help "encapsulate Utah in the minds of people around the world."

The first choice was "Seek Higher Ground," but officials decided it was too close to Colorado's slogan of "Enter a Higher State."

The governor's Tourism Board approved the new slogan last week at a public meeting, but kept it secret during the discussion by using code words to refer to it.

3. You mean it doesn't refer to
Utah's mountains?

Now, Seek Higher Ground sounds like a flood advisory to me.

But I'm okay with the elevated motto. Because after all, they have a lot of mountains.

4. That is as bad as ours.
At least we were able to make a fairly simple switch of ours. Kansas As Big As You Think (wtf?) to Kansas As Bigoted As You Think (there are those bumper stickers everywhere).

6. How about Oregon's slogan "We Love Dreamers" ---
When you go to Portland, you have to alter that to "We Love Drunks and Druggies" -- although police and others do what they can to keep those folks off the sidewalks. It's a big problem in every city, especially those that are comparatively warm in winter.

10. "We dream lovers?" Yeah, but please don't tell hubby about that...
He has a new line this year when I tell him about my dreams of long ago.

"No problem, sweetie. I'm not jealous at all. Most of your old lovers are DEAD now!" {{SMILE}}
