The excuse of the "tired" administration
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 09:19 PM by IrishBloodEngHeart
As I hear the same old talking heads pontificate about how the Bush White House must be "tired", and how exhausting all their work has been, I can't help but ask: Is that really the problem? Would bringing new people in solve anything?

Could it be the indictments of Rove and Libby, the president and vice president's top advisors, for treasonous behaviour that has caused the distractions?

Actually, this may be appealing to believe, but i think it is something else:

It is a failure of policy. The Bush's have enacted their policies flawlessly, and we are seeing the results. We are bogged down in an unwinnable war, which most sensible people knew would happen. We are seeing record setting deficits, which is what happens when you wage war and cut taxes at the same time. We are seeing a lack of response to the poor after Katrina, which is what happens when you have an administration who doesn't believe the government should help the poor. We see an economy with a higher number of super rich, a higher number of poor, and a vanishing middle class, which is what happens when you shift the tax burden from the upper classes to the middle classes.

the Bush administration has carried out everything just fine. The problem is the policy, not the execution.

2. That is the difference
People argue stupidity vs cunning plan and failure vs he got exactly what he wanted. It all depends on your perspective. If you wanted a leader who would make life in America better for all, he is a failure. If you hold that world leaders should want to make life good for all people, he's a failure. If he thinks this country will be better off with a bunch of rich cronies and the rest of us the struggling poor, he's stupid. The rich won't pick the cotton or the fruit. Nor will they wait on him in restaurants.

Oh, yeah... GO DODGERS! THINK BLUE!

3. Must be tiring flying around on Air Force One all the time and
spouting the same old bullshit. Shrub doesn't seem to do any real work except to fuck things up, tell lies, and embarass the country.
