FAUX News Sunday with guest Sen. Dick Durbin
Reading this transcript, it appears Durbin does a decent job of deflecting Wallace's obvious tilt on Iraq and NSA spying.
Maybe someone needs to remind boot-licker Wallace that Nixon was also a "wartime President" during his troubles.
How quickly they forget.

----

~SNIPPET~

WALLACE: So you're saying that impeachment is a possibility.

DURBIN: I'm not ruling it in or out at this point in time. I think, in fairness to our government, and to be as honest as I can be, we need more information about the nature of this program and whether, in fact, it violated the law. If we find that it did...

WALLACE: Senator, I want to follow up on this, because I'm a little bit surprised. You're saying that President Bush, who is the commander in chief in a time of war — you're not ruling out the possibility that he has broken the law, committed high crimes and misdemeanors, and could be subject to impeachment.

DURBIN: Chris, you're trying to put words in my mouth, and I'm not going to go there.

2. Wallace leaned so far to the right he had to be propped up
It was really sickening, the way he kissed General Casey's butt all the way through this chapter of his 'Everything is Swell in Iraq' tour, then attacked Durbin with puke talking points like this:

WALLACE: Senator, I want to change subjects on you. Democratic Senator Feingold this week called for censuring President Bush for the NSA's warrantless wiretap program.

Given the fact that the president briefed congressional leaders of both parties, given the fact that he got specific legal authorization for this program from the attorney general, do you flatly disavow the idea of censuring the president?

3. Why does anyone watch Faux News?
Their reporters are GOP slanted whores and entertainers. Your hitting their sites is a vote for them. I was truly disappointed when Greta joined the Faux bunch.

4. Yes he did...I watched it this afternoon.
He stuck to message that Buxh probably broke the law, and an investigation was absolutely necessary.
He wouldn't be distracted or side tracked from the issue despite being handed the bait by Wallace. I don't remember if he asked if Hillary would run. (heh heh)

It was a Fox News Freeper nightmare.

5. I have a correction for Mr. Wallace
The chimp may be Commander in Chief of the armed forces, but he sure as hell isn't Commander in Chief of the whole population of the United States! The repubs always do this--you can't go against "our" Commander in Chief!!

7. Personally...
... I wish Durbin would have not been so evasive. When Wallace said "you're not ruling impeachment out", Durbin should have said "since as of this time it appears the president broke the law, no I cannot rule impeachment out".

I really don't understand what he accomplished with the "words in my mouth" statement, why is everyone afraid to say the obvious in plain words?
