9 Dec 45 - the equivalent day in WWII |
Edited on Mon Mar-20-06 03:20 PM by BOSSHOG
Today is day one of year four for bush's folly. In 246 days 15 August 2006 we will equal the amount of time we spent in WWII. That's a long time to be in the last throes. And that wacky team of Roosevelt and Truman and General Eisenhower had a plan and it worked and it didn't involve politics to the end.

1. Only thing is, the Allies *wanted* to win WWII |

3. if you're counting from pearl harbor, 9/11 would be the right start date |
on that basis, we've already spent more time in the "war on terror" (with no end in sight against an near-nonexistent enemy) than in wwii (with victory in two hemispheres against two massive empires).

4. Passed it May 19, 2005 |
May 19, 2005 was the 1,346th day since the attacks of 9/11.
That is the same length of time from the attack on Pearl Harbor to the end of WWII on V-J Day. (Dec 7, 1941 to Aug 24, 1945)
