Why have no reporters asked the right question? |
|
"Mr. President, have you ever authorized wiretapping on domestic groups or individuals that were neither linked to terrorists nor even communicating with suspected terrorists?"
When he says no, we will have him on record denying something that eventually somebody will prove he did do. Aren't there already reports of peace activist groups that were tapped? If somebody would ask the question we can corner him.
God Bless Harry Taylor for standing up so bravely as he did to challenge the president to have some shame. It would have been a great opportunity to ask that question but a great commentary nonetheless. If anyone ever gets that access, please ask the question. Helen Thomas might be the only one in the press corp that would do it, but after her last question, she won't be called for the rest of Bush's presidency.

1. This bunch is extremely paranoid |

so those grandmothers in pink dresses and those Quakers with their prayer books are terrorists to them. Anyone who is against their holy war is a terrorist. Anyone who is a Democrat is a terrorist.
They think they're perfectly justified. So did Nixon.

2. I am just so sick and tired of Bush saying |

that he won't apologize for spying on terrorists when we know this wiretapping was used for much more than that. Duh, you can't find one liberal that is against spying on suspected terrorist activity. I want him on record saying he never authorized non suspected terrorist wiretapping.
