Did Kerry desecrate a Vietnam War memorial?Something about Jane Fonda? |
|
I heard this first mentioned by my Step-father's dad when we were out to dinner. Bob, the dad, said if the story was true he wouldn't vote for Kerry in the General Election, even though he hates Bush and is a devote Democrat. My Step dad nearly started yelling at him but couldn't because we were in a nice restaurant. The story must be pretty serious and convincing if it swayed the sympathies of such a wise old man like my step-grandfather.
Anyway...
My mom then told me tonight that her friend at work saw a story about Kerry's ties to "the desecration of a Vietnam memorial in protest to the war" in one of our local papers (Arizona, Phoenix area). The story includes lowering the flag and turning it upside down.
What is going on? Someone tell me if this story is legit. If it is legitimate we could have a serious problem, because this is perfect fodder for the Republicans to smear Kerry if he is our nominee.
Someone tell me: is this a rumor? a real story? What?

8. If you make a factual assertion about a candidate that is not generally accepted to be true, you must provide a link to a reputable source to back up your claim. Allegedly "innocent" questions which are actually an underhanded effort to spread rumors are not allowed. If you really need to know the answer to your question, try Google
