Where is the Republican Plan? |
|
Excuse me, but why aren't we asking this? They keep asking us for our plan. Where is theirs?
I seem to remember a whole bunch of their ideas and actions going down in flames in the last couple of years. Were those the plans? Did they plan to have Tom DeLay indicted? (If so, success!) Did they plan to have Bush humiliate himself and the Republicans multiple times (Schiavo, Katrina, Harriet Miers, Social Security)? They didn't plan the self-humiliation, I guess. They simply succeeded at it without a plan.
As everyone knows, the GOP is only asking the Dems for a plan because they want something to shoot at. We would be stupid to propose a plan. However, the GOP has been so obnoxiously and loudly on the record pushing the Dems for a plan, how can they refuse to produce one themselves? That would be kind of funny. I would love to see the Frist-McCain-Bush-Hastert plan. Wouldn't you?

1. As far as I can tell... |

The main plan is to kill non-christian brown people, outsource jobs, and to destroy PBS.
Just an obervation.

8. the plan is to destroy the government. |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-17-06 10:03 PM by Karenca
the repubs say they are in favor of small government......what they really are in favor of is no government. no social security, no federal loans for college, nothing for environmental programs, cut out all government programs, etc, etc.
they totally bankrupted our surplus.
they want to put all the money into defense -- destroy other countries and then take them over.
no united states government...just a huge corporate whorehouse.
that's their plan.

10. Well, they should spell it out so we can vote on it. |
|
They should say what they really intend to do. That's the whole idea of a plan. If they say they are going to bankrupt the government, fine. Let's vote on it.

15. Yay, a bozo! And a typical GOP-level plan! |
|
Thank you! Thank you! I especially love getting GOP responses.
How about voting for lower taxes. How about voting for equality. Why didn't anyone else think of that plan?

None of his/her posts had the plan. Looked and looked. The Republican plan is better hidden than Saddam's WMDs.

29. To make the rich richer |
|
Also there is the issue of using taxpayers' money (and deficit money - future taxpayers) to give away as corporate subsidies (i.e. Medicare prescription plan).
Whenever problems arise, several tactics are employed: 1. Deny the problem exists 2. If 1 is not feasible, then try to blame it on the Democrats 3. If 1 or 2 are not possible, then accuse the Democrats of not having a plan to fix it. 4. If 3 is insufficient, accuse the Democrats of being "unpatriotic"
