The Dummy-Quote of the Day!
Rumsfeld Is Unruffled by Calls for Resignation

By Bill Brubaker
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, April 18, 2006

<snip>

Asked why the retired generals are criticizing him now, Rumsfeld said: "Well, I just don't know. I can't climb into other people's minds."

2. I heard on the news this morning
a couple of the generals said they were intimidated by Rummy. Well I'm sorry but WTF kind of generals are they that they would be intimidated by a crazy old man? No wonder the fuckin war is going so bad if our generals are such wussies.

3. Ah, yes. The wusses.
They, too, find themselves marginalized when they speak out in opposition to the BFEE plan.

4. That's true but what would you give
to hear one of 'em say "rummy is a crazy old coot and he ought to be locked up instead of being in charge of a gazillion dollar budget and a million human beings, not to mention being in charge of that sad excuse for a commander in chief". Wouldn't be prudent, as someone once said.

6. I agree......what kind of generals are they to be intimidated by

this one man? And they're 'supposedly' on "the same side"....what would happen if the generals were intimated by 'an enemy'on the other side????

In truth, that is what is so insidious about all of this....the 'enemy' appears to be within. That is what makes it all the more difficult, but not insurmountable.

Character. Sacrifice. Truth. Living up to one's SWORN OATH to uphold the CONSTITUTION OF THE United States of America, not loyalty to any one person (or persons)....loyalty to the 'ideal' that the Constitution embodies.

edit: spelling

5. Someone (or several someone's) should put this bold, arrogant,
bat-shit crazy nut ~ back in his place. This guy is the penultimate "Captain Queeg". (If you don't 'know' this movie/character, please find it/watch it....this has 'all been considered before'. Captain Queeg is a character Humphrey Bogart played in "The Caine Mutany").
