regarding the Plain Dealer's endorsement of his unknown and possibly GOP connected primary opponent. Don't mess with Dennis's constituents. Go Margie and Ingrid.
To the Editor:
April 10 I went to a meeting for the discussion of a bill to establish education for pre-school children held by Congressman Dennis Kucinich. It was standing room only for the 80 plus people representing district practitioners.
Dennis Kucinich said that it was the largest response he has ever had to a meeting.
A woman appeared and stood behind Mr. Kucinich. Finally she interrupted and said, "Dennis, why didn't you debate me at the City Club today?" He said, "These meetings have been planned for a long time." She said that we were entitled to know Kucinich's record. We turned to each other and murmurred, "We know Dennis's record." He said, "This is not about you and me, it's about children." A woman in the audience raised her hand and said, "I took time off to come here today. I am not being paid. I resent your interrupting this meeting." Finally the woman left.
This was my introduction to the Plain Dealer's pick for our district, Barbara Ferris. I turned to my neighbor and said, "I don't know who she is but I wouldn't vote for her for anything."
Yours truly,
Marjorie Dwyer

by a friend of the woman who wrote it, both of whom are friends of mine.
The Plain Dealer didn't run it (no surprise).

2. Barbara Ferris is a GOP stealth candidate |
|
She ran as an independent against Dennis in 2004!
She is silent about the war in Iraq, Bush's crimes, censure/impeachment of Bush, abortion rights, and LGBT rights.

4. She came to town about 2 -3 years ago |
|
She hadn't lived here in a dozen years or more. But suddenly she moved back to town and started spending money to start a woman's political group. Some of us met with her and were interested, but lost interest when we realized she wanted to start a bipartisan group (sorry I don't feel like sitting around strategizing with Republican women when they're party is destroying the US). Lots of feminist talk, male politicians don't address women's issues (true many don't) etc, etc.
Next thing we knew, she was announcing that she was going to run against Kucinich and she had all our names on the list of women endorsing her campaign. Needless to say, we all dropped her like a hot potato.
She's been obsessed with running against Dennis from the very beginning.
