5. They will jump all over his lack of political experience. |

Although shrub had a scant five years before they put him up for the presidency.
I worry. I think we need him in the senate, and now he is not going to be there.
I do like him, though.

I was perplexed by his decision to not run for the Senate again. If he doesn't get offered (and accept) the VP ticket, what will he be? He's too inexperienced to be a statesman for the party.

10. He needs to quit the "I talk funny" thing, if he really wants to be |
|
a national leader.
It's ok to HAVE a regional accent, doesn't everyone? But his constant reference to it makes him look regional.

Agree with you 100%!!
Im a Dean supporter too, but I cant wait to see what Edwards has in store for years to come. Hes a smooth talker, smart, and he actually does care about people, which is a rarity these days if you ask me.

He either wins the nomination, secures a VP slot, or pretty much goes away. He's going to be out of the Senate so his next shot at a platform is the governor's race in '06 (I think).
Heck, Gore won more votes than Bush and he couldn't secure party loyalty for the race in '04 -- Edwards will be a footnote by '08.

13. He can always go back to making money |
|
by advocating for the injured against big businesses...if his ego can stand the idea of having been turned away from the national spotlight.
