2. The pressure on recruiters to provide bodies is so high...
they'll endanger other soldiers lives by lying and cheating unqualified applicants into enlistments.

This sort of thing destroys the military from the inside out.

4. That's unbelievable
"The Guinthers said that on Tuesday evening, Cpl. Ansley showed up at their door. They said Ansley stated that he would probably lose his job and face dishonorable discharge unless they could stop the newspaper's story."

Ansley deserves to lose his job; what he did was entirely dishonorable. What's especially sad is that his commander obviously knew about it at that point, yet it wasn't his unethical actions that caused the threat of a dishonorable discharge, but rather the potential bad press in the media. The military has completely lost the concept of what a dishonorable discharge is supposed to be used for.

6. He doesn't speak unless
someone speaks to him.
Ouch! And if he sees something dangerous, will he tell his fellows?
And he doesn't realize what is really going on!
Scary and has the Army gone mad?
