Hayden was part of "failed intel" that led to 9/11 - now Shrub wants to give him a promotion?

He previously served as director of the National Security Agency (NSA), having assumed that position in 1999.

During Mossouri trial, gov't testimony showed that investigators tried to get a FISA warrant for suspected terrorism, but higher ups in FBI wouldn't approve it.

9/11 report and court reports also details calls to Mossouri from various Al- Quida players OUTSIDE the US

Shrub's constant defense of his illegal wiretapping program - "If someone in Al-Queda makes a call to someone in the US, I want to know what they're talking about"

Well, if the reports and testimony are true, then someone in Al-Queda made calls to someone in the US - and the man responsible for that program was Gen Hayden, recently nominated to head the CIA.

If Gen Hayden had done his job properly, we might have prevented 9/11 (how's that for a talking point!)

I know, if someone had taken Clarke seriously, or even the Aug 6 PDB, or alot of other things (like even wanting to prevent it) - but it's a valid point, simple enough for any Freeper to understand - simple enough for every Dem that goes on TV to memorize and repeat (while mentioning the illegal wiretapping over and over and over)

1. If Hayden had done his job properly..
..and had 9/11 not occurred, then would the Bush administration still be in power?

Of course not.

There you go.

3. There were never any thoughts of preventing 9/11.
It had to happen for them. Had to. It was part of the plan from day one, the new Pearl Harbor.
