2. African Americans
They are a group that our party has taken for granted for too long. We've done little to actually deserve their vote and yet they are some of our most ardent supporters.

3. Latino.
Right now is prime time to grab the vote, especially because Latino's will be the largest minority in the United States.

Bush & Co. have already pissed a lot of my family and friends off (Latino), and they will be voting Democrat in the upcoming election. I hope the powers-that-be in this party realize what a golden opportunity this is.

9. Well, according to SOME Dems....
...."women's issues" need to be put on the back burner to make sure that Dems win the next election. Ya know, try to get some of those "soft-Republicans" over to our side without appearing to be "radical" (as in, protecting the right to choose, etc.).

Besides (and I am being VERY sarcastic here), who else would we vote for? According to this guy I know, the Dems don't have to work hard for women's votes anymore, because the Repukes are so hard-core. To which I replied, "Oh really? What would happen if a fraction of women voters move over to the Green Party? (Hello! 2000! Nice to see you again!).

I'm rambling on now so I'll shut up. :silly:

14. Hey - just stay home and have your babies and clean the damn trailer!
Oh, sorry, you were sayin somethin?!

On a more serious note, I couldn't agree more - way to "forget" over 50% of us - or take for granted - as usual!

6. The Democratic base!
Woe to the party if we end up with a prowar nominee, or one that is sympathetic to fundie views on abortion and LGBT rights.

Considering the close marging of the last Presidential cycles, we don't have the luxury of doing to our base what even the GOP won't do to theirs: betrayal!

16. Shit, you're talking about "losing" some voters for the Dems?
Hell, thought we needed MORE voters.......shouldn't we be talking about that instead?
