. . ."surrender power now or be impeached tomorrow". . .

The monumental call detail database is just one piece of the program formerly known as Total Information Awareness (TIA).

Three years ago, Americans demanded that Congress kill TIA and they did. On the imperial order of Bush, officials slapped on new labels and kept it going (TIA Lives On, 23-Feb-06, National Journal).

Treason is defined as "Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign."

In the United States, it is the collective will of the people that is sovereign.

Their actions constitute treason.

Bush and his minions not only terrorized us into war with baseless threats of mushroom clouds, they nuked the Constitution with their fascist fantasy of unitary authoritarian power. They have made it crystal clear that nothing short of Impeachment will put an end to their treasonous exercise of unrestrained power.

Members of Congress have a sworn duty to support and defend the Constitution. We gave Congress -- our voice -- the power to impeach so they could fulfill their oath.

As long as members of Congress do nothing to take the massive power of the American Presidency out of the hands of traitors, they are breaking their Congressional oath.

We can only begin to recover when Congressional leaders march up to the White House and say "surrender power now or be impeached tomorrow."

We know all we need to know right now. Every time Bush and Cheney publicly claim the right to break our laws they are publicly declaring their guilt. Comprehensive investigation to determine the full extent of their crimes can continue after they have been disarmed.

When the process gets rolling, Bush and Cheney will be out so fast it will leave the talking heads sputtering. But the process will not get going as long as so many members of Congress remain trapped in deep denial about the grim reality of our national predicament.

When they see the truth, I have no doubt that they are going to profoundly regret every single day they did nothing to force Bush out of power. We can spare them some of that pain if we get them moving.

see it that's why *'s polls are tanking, but what to do about it. Just in the past 10 days alot has come out * has said he doesn't feel he has to follow laws he feels are "unconstitutional", illegal wiretapping of most Americans, making CIA employees take polygraph tests which included questions about their political affiliations, the new mission of the CIA is closer to providing propaganda for administration or no opposing views allowed and it is no longer a civilian service but a military one.
Put all together and it smells more and more like we are already under a dictatorship. What if he were impeached and refused to leave office?

edited for spelling
