HAD ENOUGH? Barack Obama is ON FIRE on C-SPAN.
On a rebroadcast of an appearance before EMILY'S list yesterday, Barack Obama does a redux of his engaging, rousing speech - HAD ENOUGH?

In spite of the poo-poo'ing of Barack Obama, I have felt from the moment he gave the keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention that his future is bright.

A Gore/Obama candidacy in 2008 would kick some serious ass. Oh, yeah.

5. can't find anything on that,

but I found this which is very interesting. It indicates Gore has made a wad on Google and could invest it in his own race, thereby not being a slave to the DLC or any other organization that would fund him but insist on holding the reins.

Stay and Fight: A 2000 Flashback:
With "An Inconvenient Truth" about to be released, speculation is rampant in Washington about Al Gore's 2008 plans.

Many Democrats are excited about the thought of the "new Al Gore," the post-2000 Gore, the Gore who goes around the media, says what he thinks, and lets the chips fall where they may.

Let's just say that Bill Bradley is not one of those Democrats.

"He's moving left. It's a calculation," said Bradley, who believes Gore will emerge in 2008 as an "environmental populist."

Speaking to ABC News on the same day that the New York Post's Deborah Orin had a "well-placed Democrat" saying in an unconfirmed report that Gore "owns a ton of Google" that he could invest in a presidential race, Bradley was supremely confident that his former rival is planning to get back in the game.

"I don't think there is any question," Bradley told ABC News. "He made $50 million on Google. He's got the money to do it."

Not only that but a wonderful little talk about personal responsibility that was dead on. I truly think he could be president some day.

10. Family in Chicago loves him.
They told me to watch, he will become one of our strongest leaders.

This is coming from someone that is way over to the left, so I am trying to keep an open mind.

11. I like that speech - I don't like the one he uses on Sunday TV
he's pretty patronizing and DINO-sounding.

12. what exactly is DINO-sounding?
I think that is one of the most gratuitous random bashing one can put forward here at DU. What the hell does that mean, really?

Barack Obama is most certainly a Democrat. A good solid Democrat. And one that will be president someday; I have no doubt about that.

14. Agreed on all counts. He's my senator, will soon be pres,
and is everything we want in a Dem. But when he's on with Judas Stephanopolus he pulls his punches when asked about the crimes of Too Stupid To Be President. If every Dem on TV would start talking, consistently, about spying, huge deficits, torture, and all theExecutive crimes over the last 6 years, the media will have to start talking about them.

Obama's proven to be little more than an opportunist- and he's exercized very poor judgment several times over the past 18 months or so.

That man's shown himself to be a two faced weasel who'll end up going nowhere.
