When will Bush announce a troop drawdown? August? September? October? |
|
It will not be an accident when Bush announces a troop drawdown from Iraq two or three months before the 2006 elections. It also won't mean anything. An announcement won't mean anything. It's timing will be purely political. We need to pre-announce the announcement, and take the wind out of it sails.

...who don't get 'drawn down.' Their jobs will instantly become much harder and their safety even more compromised. I wonder how much blood that particular political ploy will cost?
Not that anyone in the White House is counting.

Or is he just going to blather on about "staying the course" and what not? I guess we'll see.
