I haven't gotten any solid reason for the correction, is the CPI spike to 0.9%, the new ABCnews poll showing the GOP in serious trouble

Do insiders know what we don't yet know and are cashing in? Rove's indictment would be like a frontal lombotomy!!

what say you fellow progressive democratic truth seekers.....

1. not sure how they could be related
inflation worries raise the possibility of interest rate increases - never good for the market

2. yeah, but that was several days ago
you think the jump in inflation means the market forsees a longer string of rate hikes to 'cool' the economy??

4. LOL, I just read a freeper thread where a guy said it was because of
the immigration laws they are working on. I think it is because of inflation and the rising interest rates to come.

5. "frontal lombotomy"
I don't know what that is, but it sounds South American. Maybe a Spanish dance? :hi:

7. I Don't Think It's About Rove... I Think The Shit Is Finally Hitting The F
And some of this is reflected in The Idiot's poll numbers too. I've said all along, until the red-staters finally get hit where it hurts, they will follow their Idiot!

Things are going down the tube and I don't care how many times THEY tell me how good the economy is! We're going to have to dip into our IRA again to cover our expenses. I have one credit card, with low balance and that's it! But prices just keep going up and up and we are caring for my mother-in-law also.

And we sit here while the RICH get even more TAX cuts!!

8. Maybe, but for a different reason.
I'll tell you what's got me worried right now. Most of the major events surrounding the CIA leak scandal--particularly those involving Karl Rove--have been preceded by fake terrorist warnings. (See my journal for an incomplete list of incidents.)

This time? Nothing.

If I had anything to lose, that absence of fake terror would make me start wondering whether or not Mr. Rove is considering hauling the real thing back out. If that were to happen, the markets would certainly take a big hit, and I'd surely want to grab my toys and leave before that happened.
