Poll question: Once again we ask: Who's next to go?
Tonight we said a <sarcasm> fond </sarcasm> to Joe Lieberman.

To whom will we say "Hasta La Vista" next?

1. Sharpton should definitely drop out now.
...After the revelation that his campaign was being run by one of those Miami Riot shitbags who helped destroy democracy in this country, I can't have any respect or trust for Al.

7. Agreed....it made me physically ill.
Roger Stone? Nothing the "Rev." has said means a thing to me anymore. Mission accomplished....attacked Dean VERY effectively on "the race card" and I have ZERO respect for Sharpton now. He's just another RNC operative in my opinion.

That was one of the most revolting things I've read in a while....on so many levels.

http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0405/barrett.php
...
"Roger Stone, the longtime Republican dirty-tricks operative who led the mob that shut down the Miami-Dade County recount and helped make George W. Bush president in 2000, is financing, staffing, and orchestrating the presidential campaign of Reverend Al Sharpton."
...
"Though Stone and Sharpton have tried to reduce their alliance to a curiosity, suggesting that all they do is talk occasionally, a Voice investigation has documented an extraordinary array of connections. Stone played a pivotal role in putting together Sharpton's pending application for federal matching funds, getting dollars in critical states from family members and political allies at odds with everything Sharpton represents. He's also helped stack the campaign with a half-dozen incongruous top aides who've worked for him in prior campaigns. He's even boasted about engineering six-figure loans to Sharpton's National Action Network (NAN) and allowing Sharpton to use his credit card to cover thousands in NAN costs—neither of which he could legally do for the campaign. In a wide-ranging Voice interview Sunday, Stone confirmed his matching-fund and staffing roles, but refused to comment on the NAN subsidies."

Conason covered it too.....

A GOP trickster rents Al Sharpton
The pompadoured preacher's alliance with a right-wing operative may delight conservatives but should disgust his constituents.
By Joe Conason

Feb. 3, 2004 | In the twilight zone of political chicanery, operatives often cooperate across ideological lines. Whenever their interests coincide, seasoned mischief-makers can set aside superficial disagreements to harass a common enemy. To anyone familiar with the buccaneering careers of Al Sharpton and Roger Stone, their convergence in the 2004 presidential campaign is not quite as "unlikely" as the New York Times suggested in a headline last week. Indeed, the alliance between the conservative consultant and the pompadoured preacher makes perfect sense

THE 2004 CAMPAIGN: THE CONSULTANT; Sharpton's Bid Aided by an Unlikely Source

By MICHAEL SLACKMAN (NYT) 1162 words
Late Edition - Final , Section 1 , Page 22 , Column 3
DISPLAYING FIRST 50 OF 1162 WORDS - The Rev. Al Sharpton has demonstrated his quick wit and deft use of one-liners in his campaign for president. But while the delivery has been all his own, he had help shaping his message from an unlikely source: Roger Stone, a political consultant who worked for Richard M. Nixon, Ronald...

I will shed a few tears for the next one to go after that... so far I've been dry-eyed...

5. Who's voting for Clark?
Why the hell would Clark, who has tons of money and a large base of supporters, drop out before Sharpton and Kucinich? Sounds like some of you have been taking the pundits too seriously.

11. Sharpton actually picked up a delegate tonight...
In Delaware...more than I can say for Kucinich or Lieberman. Perhaps indicative on how he could do in Mich (winning predominately African American congressional districts)?

12. The sooner Clark drops out, it helps Edwards, otherwise......
Clark just splits votes with Edwards and hands the
nomination to Kerry on a silver platter. But may be
that is what the Clintons want.
