Screw you ABC News / Gore blurb
Edited on Wed May-24-06 06:06 PM by Chipper Chat
You ended ABC World News Tonight with a "report" on Al Gore's movie. Was it positive? Nooooooooooo! Al has "alterior motives" - wants to be Pres / using the movie as a springboard. Or is it "using speculation on running for Pres to boost his movie"? Not one word praising the movie! All NEGATIVE! I expected better of you ABC NEws. But again, you're bought and paid for.

1. Why is anyone surprised? The media is controlled by the GOP and has been
for over a decade. Maybe Dems should be making documentaries about THAT and voting machine fraud. Because no other issue CAN matter unless the first two are exposed.

I almost threw my Coke at the TV set.
Horrible pictures of Gore too - thining gray hair blowing in the wind (metaphor?). Now that I've calmed down I should throw ABC a flower - they broke the Hastert story.

3. The GOP has no such control over the news media
The GOP itself is controlled by an outside group.

I call the men of this group the Corporatists. They never run for political office, yet they operate some of the most powerful multinational corporations in the world. They hold the real power, not the GOP. The GOP is merely a tool to them.

reaired from the Today Show....very nice !

What you can do to help Al Gore, Chipper Chat, is post a transcript and a contact address.

We'll take care of the rest. Sidebar: Guys, we need to get on the same page!

Edit out the spanky boring smilies, and recommended. We need to keep Pres Al's message on topic :hi:

9. Here's link to tonight's ABC News.

No video of the Gore piece, but look down under science and you'll find an earlier Bill Blakemore report which is MUCH MORE POSITIVE than tonight's Elizabeth Vargas report.

7. I Know How Tempting It Is...
To keep hoping that the media will show some sign that they have at least a tiny, tiny little smidgen of "fair and balanced" coverage... or at least an occasional bit of truth. It never really happens, yet the eternal optimist within us... causes us to continue to be surprised when the time for surprise has long passed.

Whatever you hear or see in the media is there for one reason: to support the agenda of some group (Corporations, their Wealthy Owners, Powerful Political Leaders--both Known and Unknown but all with support for Conservative/NeoConservative/Theocratic/Republican ideologies...). Nothing exists there that does not have an agenda that is in some way harmful/destructive to/antithetical to populist or liberal or left or Democratic goals/needs/hopes. You may have to analyze it carefully, but even in the rare instance they appear to be presenting something we can agree with, no matter how small, there definitely exists a reason which explains how it is but a part of a larger effort to work against us. Remember, Nothing At All... Nothing gets through but that it's planned to support their (sometimes mysterious) "agenda".

8. Hmmm ... ABC News
Would that be Disney Viacom news? Excellent choice. My wife prefers GE TV for some reason. She thinks Brian Williams is cute.
Either way these networks are nothing more than propoganda outlets these days. Surprise.

10. For that reason I hate to see Bob Schieffer go.
He may have alot of GOP friends, but at least he boldly tells it like it is (well, sorta). Will Katie have the same integrity?
