2. I had no idea that 'the thing formerly known as Prince' was so popular.
Popular these days, and I still want to know how he was so great in the first place. (he had some hits, but unlike Madonna he grew old quickly...)

13. Prince is a musical genius.
You have to go beyond the hits to undertand it, though.

Hundreds of artists have recorded his songs from George Clinton to Jesus and the Mary Chain to LeAnn Rimes.

The corporations control what you generally hear. That's what the symbol was about in the first place. Looks like they're ready to exploit him again.

15. I disagree......Prince was a wonderful innovator for quite some time.....
It just depends on what type of music you May "have been into".

I saw Prince in person back in the "days".....and appreciated him for his writing and performances. The man knew how to perform, and clearly still does....tell you that!

I think that it's all of matter of taste...

cover their own shows...Survivor, the last Will and Grace, yada, yada, yada. It's all one big happy money-making family.

16. Here's something that'll really depress you then:
The host, Ryan Seacrest, said 63.4 million votes were cast this season, boasting, "That's more than any president in the history of our country has ever received."

20. That is just a little misleading
since you are not limited to one vote. You can vote as many times as you want for 4 hours. It's mostly teens and pre-teens who are doing all the voting.

One year some nerd set up a computer dialing system to vote for this one girl, and she stayed on long after she should have been off.
