Historian Douglas Brinkley on CSPAN1, talking about Katrina.. |

He's a resident of New Orleans and a critic.

4. I remember seeing Brinkley in New Orleans after Katrina. He's |
|
never lost his sense of outrage, even now. That was/is his town. He's a prof at Tulane and a truth teller.

5. I haven't lost my sense of outrage either. |

What bothers me the most, is the fact that people still support this idiot in charge of the U.S.A..
How many more failures by ** will it take, before all of his supporters realize he is ruining this once great country?
On a slightly positive note, freepers are turning on him, and that is great.

6. Brinkley's A Class Act |
|
I saw excerpts of his story about Fats Domino and it's a fascinating read. Brinkley has been extremely critical about the BFEE's attempt to turn Louisiana "Red" with this storm. He all but called Nagin a Repugnican and how he was in contact with Rove during a lot of the Katrina mess.
The man's an incredible historian and one of the few sane voices in these crazy times. I expect he'll write the definitive history of this era and it won't be very kind to this regime. The corporate media was so consumed with the "Clinton Legacy"...we sure don't hear the same thing about boooosh.
