Ann Coulter Is A Gift From The Gods
Paging Howard Dean and Harry Reid:

There are enough Republican strategists, including Mary Matalin and others, who have publicly defended Ann Coulter's remarks attacking the families of 9/11 victims, that astute Democratis strategists can and should now credibly begin the process of hanging Ann Coulter firmly around the neck of the Republican party.

It's not enough to indignantly attack Ann Coulter. This is a much bigger story than Ann Coulter.

We need to promote and expose the obvious linkage between Ann Coulter and the Republican party and its minions, a linkage which makes the self evident case that the Republican party base itself is viciously attacking 9/11 widows.

That's right.

If you vote Republican, you are voting for the party that is so unpatriotic that it attacks and smears victims of 9/11.

That's the meme.

Run with it.

1. The Ann Coulter Republicans
As I wrote, the Republican party can't run from Ann Coulter because the Republican party IS Ann Coulter.

2. Yep.
And we need to highlight how thoroughly unpatriotic it is for Republicans to smear victims of 9/11.

Take a page right out of the Republican playbook and serve it up to them steaming hot.

The way you win elections is to attack your opponents perceived strengths and systematically gut them.

The Democrats should get down on their hands and knees that she's around. Capatalize on what this bimbo says. flood the blogs with it. Write columhns about it.Ann Coulter should stick to every Republican, until they backtrack away from her.

5. Yes, we need to start beating the Repukes at their own game!
Even though this strategy would focus more attention toward what's her name (allowing her to profit on no doubt more book sales which sucks).......taking a page out of Rove's playbook is worth it.

I think it's excellent strategy to FINALLY start turning things around on them.

They lie and say we're soft on the war on terra and they lie and say we're going to raise taxes on working families, etc., etc.

Attacking the 9/11 families is not only unpatriotic, it's anti-family values.

I'd like to see the democrats come up with even more wedge issues because this is political war.

The repukes shamelessly play the gay card every election cycle to rally the fundies.

We need to start fighting back. And now. :patriot:

6. That's right
So far, the Dem response has been to call her "Cruel" and "outrageous" and "hurtful" and all the things you'd expect the MOMMY PARTY to say.

We have to start hitting them where it hurts.

What Ann Coulter and the Republicans have done by attacking 9/11 widows is to give AID AND COMFORT TO THE ENEMY.

She's an unpatriotic TRAITOR. Un American. Harmful to the safety and well being of the United States.

She, and anyone who defends her, are giving aid and comfort to the enemy and are security threats.

8. Can you imagine what the Republicans would do to Dems
if ANYONE even remotely associated with anything close to being on the left side of the political spectrum - regardless whether or not they had any real connection to the party or anyone in it - said anything even a tenth as obnoxious as Coulter? They would turn them into the Democratic poster child so fast, we wouldn't know what hit us!

9. I like to read Usenet
groups because the right wingers who post are just so darn crazy! Anyway, someone put up a list of Coulter quotes and one of them stated that she would like to overturn the Emancipation Proclamation. WTF? How in the hell can anyone take this person seriously when she wants to re-enslave black people? The joke is on the repukes, though. The more outrageous she gets, the more they do backbends to defend her.
