* Can't Hit Iran While Iraq Is Still A Boiling Point - So The Zarqawi ....
hit the other day, the Camp David meeting, the dire looks on the faces of those in attendance in the photo op at Camp David, *'s visit to Iraq, Condi's threats a week or so ago to Iran, John Bolton's quotes about Iran in Financial Times - all lead up to the point that the decision was made this weekend at Camp David that we will soon turn Iraq over to the Iraqi's new government and shortly afterwards set our sites on Iran with an upcoming invasion.

Anybody else think this is coming soon?

1. I don't think the voters will stand for another war. Of course if bush
does invade Iran, they will have to deal with it. (Not supporting the war is equated with not supporting the soldier.)

2. Iran -- change of regime coming soon...stay tuned.
The looks on the faces at Camp David says it all.

3. Don't see how we can possibly invade Iran --
we don't have the manpower. The only way to get the manpower would be with a draft, and the only way we could tolerate a draft is if we were hit, hard, and the nation rallied in defense. Iran's leaders may be nuts, but they're not stupid. They won't do it. Therefore it would have to be a terror attack that we could link to Iran - a new Pearl Harbor, if you will. And how likely is that?

OTOH, I fully expect * to bomb Iran. He wants to try out the bunker-busting nukes, and in his bully might-makes-right world view they will have no option but to immediately capitulate if we nuke them. Cowards always expect everone else to be cowards as well, and cannot fathom anyone reacting in a way differently than they would themselves act.

Yeah, I think it's all a run-up to attacking, but not invading, Iran.

6. I think he hopes for chaos in Iran
whatever we do to Iran, it'll create a power vacuum.

the moderates in Iran will not have neither the political or social power to overtake the ruling government. The people will overwhlemingly side with the Iranian politicians that will be the most defiant against Iran's attacker( the US), so things will get worse.

So 1488's blind rage to destroy Iran will backfire but 1488 doesn't give a shit, that you can count on
