I don't want to pat myself on the back, but for a long time I have posted here that by the time November 2006 arrives, Iraq would be a non-issue. As is impeachment.

Why? Because most voters, certainly the ones who voted for Rove, do not see beyond their immediate surroundings. This is why "baby killing" and "perverts" got their attention.

Even if they know someone in Iraq, most still support the war, are proud of their friends and family members. And why not? This would be the only way to live with the worry.

But if we could get their attention for a minute, we will find out that school, and health care, and jobs and retirement are important to them.

And I think that as more and more state Democratic party put impeachment as number one priority, we will lose more and more voters.

So don't cry that the Republicans are playing politics. Of course they do.

But let us concentrate on the issues that are important to most voters, that are about their immediate lives, theirs, their families and Friends.
