Shuttle Launch Set For Saturday - Cheney To Attend.....
"Among the dignitaries set to attend the launch were Vice President Dick Cheney and two members of the board that investigated the Columbia accident."

Read where it may be cancelled due to weather.

Should we be concerned that Cheney is attending?

3. I'm concerned that Cheney isn't being sent to Mars
or at least put in orbit until 2012 or so. His threats from space would be a bit more innocuous at the very least!

7. There is some kind of a problem with all of this. They haven't
resolved the tile issue. Is cheney's presence at this thing supposed to remedy the problem, like he is there to stand tall and defy the odds? I wish they would launch him in the bastard thing and see how brave he is then.

9. There is a lot of rumbling from NASA that this launch is dangerous
but of course * and Vader must have their death star, sorry photo op on time so any concerns about the launch have been ignored. figures they don't give a damn about the troops in Iraq why the hell should they worry about the safety of our astronauts?

You know for people who claim to be realists they seem to spend an awful lot of time with their eyes closed and their hands over their ears saying "la la la I can't hear you". that is until something bad happens at which point they say "It's your fault. why did you let me do that?" It's very depressing.
