Why the electronic media loves Bush.... |
|
It's cause they all make money...
Lot's of money...
And they Have been taken in by the tax cut talk...
Beat reporters and those guys in the city room and at the state capitals are just working schlubs like the rest of us...
The blow dried not quite handsome or pretty enough to be actors who read the news and try to pontificate, of course not while chewing gum, are all on the take...
The take of low taxes...
And most of them never had to struggle...
Pathetic, isn't it...
That the US democratic experiment is being undermined by people who excuse everything for the sake of a tax cut....

2. Most reporters are struggling like the rest of us |
|
you do have a small point, their bosses are making money, hands over fist. What is reported is actually aproved by managnement
Now if you think of the top tier, yes... they make lots of money, but if you think they did not pay their dues to get there (well maybe except Fox), I have news for you. I know reporters and many of them never get out of the dungeon of local news, where pay is low (except for anchors where it is intermediate), and hours are long

5. It's the OWNERS who have the money and set the policy. |
|
Thus, it is the owners who decide whether to hire a Hannity or a Phil Donahue. Just like it is the owners who decide to fire a Phil Donahue and keep a Hannity, even when Donahue's ratings are higher.
It's the owners who are interested in buying off politicians so that they can monopolize the airwaves and make even more money. The anchors are hired by the owners and they behave as they're told.
Because, as always, the conflict is not about left vs. right, conservative vs. liberal, republican vs democrat. The conflict is and always has been rich vs. poor.
